This course is targeted at people who are new to fundraising and/or marketing.
The course gives a general overview the status of fundraising in Belgium and its strategic and increasingly important role within nonprofit organizations. After this general introduction, we deep dive into consumer fundraising. Who are your target groups? How do you match the impact they want to make with your organization’s goals and communication? What are the different ways can you can collect funds? What is important in new donor acquisition? What is the gold hidden in your donor database? What are legacies? What is the status and (non)importance of digital? All these questions and more are answered in the FAB Fundraising basics training. You will learn about fundraising theory, have practice with allies working at other NGO’s and receive checklists and inspiration you can use for your organization’s fundraising.
Liesbeth van Uytven has an education in marketing (Leuven) and communications (Brussels). She started working in fundraising in 2003. She works for Mindwize, a fundraising agency in Leuven, relatively new in Belgium, with over 20 years of international Fundraising experience for numerous nonprofits, big and small.
