KULeuven and HoGent – how can you build a long-term relationship with a young adult donor once you have been able to attract him or her?
The target group of young adult donors is still being approached too little or is being ‘forgotten’ by non-profit organizations. Recent figures from the King Baudouin Foundation show that young adult donors from 18 to 44 emerge as the most generous category. Moreover, they are socially engaged and less materialistic than previous generations. Even though the financial possibilities of Millennials are often lower compared to older generations, their share in donations is not to be underestimated. However, the approach must be tailored to their needs. The key question we want to answer during the presentation is: how can you build a long-term relationship with a young adult donor once you have been able to attract him or her?
